About Us

Bret & Lisa were married in 1991 and have lived in Lancaster the entire time. We moved into our new house in November 2001. We enjoy traveling, but haven’t been able to do much while Bret was in school. Our last trip took us to Tulum, Mexico at the end of December 2008.

Lisa worked as a human services professional for 13 years, helping families in a hospice program and also helping individuals who have epilepsy. During that time, she also taught a variety of psychology courses at two local colleges. She continues to teach at Upper Iowa University – Prairie Center and for the Independent Study Program. She also works at Southwest Wisconsin Technical College as the Student Success Counselor, where she does personal counseling for students.

After graduating from Luther College as a music major, Bret was a vocal music teacher for 18 years before going to law school at William Mitchell College of Law. He graduated in May of 2008, passed the bar exam in July, and is now a self-employed attorney.

Bret is an avid fan of Minnesota sports, especially the Twins, Vikings, and Gophers.
